Rebecca Fiebrink was awarded a COSA micro-grant for their continued development of their open source software, Sound Control. This software utilizes off-the-shelf devices such as webcams and Leap Motions to create unique digital musical instruments controlled through body movements. Developed alongside children with special needs, as well as their therapists and music instructors, Sound Control brings the music making experience to creators of all ages and abilities. With their micro-grant, Fiebrink collaborated with music teachers and therapists to create tutorials and develop documentation for more comprehensive use of the tool.
