# Web-based code playground
Micro-Grant Recipient
For their work on netnet.studio, Nick Briz has been awarded a COSA microgrant. Netnet.studio is a “code playground” and web development environment that enables users to experiment with the creative potential of the Web through learning tools like tutorials and code templates. As time goes on, casual internet users become more and more obscured from the process of web development, and netnet.studio’s mission is to close this gap. This mission was born out of a recognition that the means to express oneself online is controlled by a small number of companies and social media platforms whose end goal is maximizing profit. With their COSA grant, Briz and their team have continued development of netnet.studio in hopes of empowering users with the tools to create on the Web.
